ORPAON COMPRESSOR LAB

TEST CONTROL & DATA SOFTWARE

One platform for setup, monitoring, analysis and data management

For compressor durability and operating-condition tests, the software connects test information, sequence editing, live process values, performance calculations, curve analysis and traceable records.

Nine functional modules for the complete test workflow

01

Visual process monitoring

Show the process flow, speed, voltage, current, power, suction and discharge pressures and temperatures, operating status and accumulated runtime. A tag list provides access to all configured live values.

02

Sequence and step editing

Create, copy and organize test programs with loop counts, constant-value and ramp steps. Configure start and end values, step duration, ordering, program activation and loading.

03

Test information and process management

Manage test records, personnel, compressor model and serial number, displacement, refrigerant, oil, test type and reference standard. Start and end actions are linked to data recording.

04

Control parameters and PID libraries

Configure temperature, pressure and speed parameters, associate steps with PID and limit-set IDs, maintain reusable PID and limit libraries, and apply configurable scaling and output transforms.

05

REFPROP performance calculations

Calculate refrigerant properties, superheat, subcooling and vapor quality, then derive cooling and heating capacity, cooling and heating COP, isentropic efficiency and volumetric efficiency as software tags.

06

Real-time and historical curves

Use grouped curves with configurable sources, axis labels, units and ranges. Review rolling trends, save curve images, apply single or dual cursors, calculate interval minimum, maximum and average, and replay history.

07

Records, queries and CSV export

Archive selected tags in CSV files linked to the test record, query by test name or time, load and merge multiple files, sort and replay historical data, re-export results and archive bus-message snapshots.

08

Bus and equipment integration

Support CAN, CAN FD and LIN with DBC and LDF parsing, signal read/write configuration, cyclic transmission and scheduling. Connect Siemens S7-200 Smart PLCs over Ethernet and bridge PLC and bus data.

09

Remote upload, users and logs

Upload selected live fields to a remote SQL Server with configurable interval, target table and field mapping. Monitor connection status, manage users and review system logs and historical alarms.

Interface visualizations are illustrative. Drivers, calculations, channel counts and remote field mappings are configured for each delivered system.

A test record that follows the entire workflow

  1. 1

    Configure

Define test information, tags, sequence steps, PID and limit sets, calculations and interface mappings.

  2. 2

    Execute

Load the active program, monitor process values and status, and link test actions to the recorded data.

  3. 3

    Analyze

Review calculated performance, grouped curves, cursor statistics, alarms and historical playback.

  4. 4

    Integrate

Export linked CSV records or upload selected fields to the configured remote SQL Server.

DATA WORKFLOW

From live tags to traceable test records

Test information, sequence steps, measured channels, calculated results and alarm history remain associated with the data files. Engineering teams can query, combine and replay records, then export them or transfer selected fields to an existing data platform.

  • CSV archiving linked to test information
  • Multi-file loading, merging and chronological playback
  • Remote SQL Server upload with configurable field mapping
  • System logs and historical alarm queries
